This position recruits, onboards, and supports students from inquiry to enrollment and coordinates with Student Financial Services (SFS), Admissions, and Academic Affairs to ensure a streamlined and user-friendly process. The admissions counselor also delivers upon the University’s vision to be the next great learner-centric university by providing unparalleled service delivery.</span></p><p></p><div><p><b>Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators</b></p></div><p><span>The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Employees may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.</span></p><p></p><p><i>Job Responsibilities and Execution</i></p><ul><li>Spends at least eighty percent (80%) of every shift interacting with a high volume of potential students, using telephone, text, email, video conferencing, etc.; follows applicable conversation guides to build relationships with students, help them realize their potential, and guide them to an enrollment decision</li><li>Discovers students’ educational interests and searches applicable database(s) and other resources to provide them with personalized program offerings</li><li>Identifies potential obstacles to a student’s ability to pursue their educational goals; addresses obstacles in an effort to ensure a positive and seamless student experience</li><li>Responds to new inquiries within two minutes or less and moves students through the enrollment funnel within 48 hours</li><li>Advises potential and/or current students regarding enrollment, transferability, and applicability of previously earned college credits, degree program options and requirements, cost of attendance, and University policies and procedures</li><li>Makes admissions recommendations based on a holistic review of academic profile and extracurricular qualifications</li><li>Represents University admissions at school visits, community events, college fairs, and all other recruitment initiatives</li><li>Meets recruitment goals and adheres to departmental policies for student outreach</li><li>Complies with federal, state, institution, and accreditation policies and procedures</li><li>Maintains accurate records and data on applicants and admitted students</li><li>Adheres to University policies regarding travel and procurement</li></ul><p></p><p><i>Service Excellence</i></p><ul><li>Supports the <a href="https://www.lindenwood.edu/about/mission-statement/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">mission</a> of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence</li><li>Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the <a href="https://www.lindenwood.edu/about/mission-statement/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">University’s values</a></li><li>Serves as a student concierge, listening attentively to students’ needs, providing solutions, and connecting them with appropriate supporting departments</li></ul><p></p><p><i>Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration</i></p><ul><li>Evaluates effectiveness of programs, assesses outcomes, and develops improved programming for the University; identifies opportunities for process improvements and shares student feedback with relevant departments</li><li>Communicates and tracks all correspondence with current and prospective students within the appropriate application</li><li>Collaborates with University departments and academic schools to provide superior student service</li><li>Assists other recruitment divisions to meet departmental needs and goals</li></ul><p></p><p><i>Job may require other duties as assigned.</i></p><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications </b>– An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
