The Chief Business Officer organization drives Airbnb’s growth and expansion by commercializing new and existing businesses, recruiting and developing Airbnb’s global supply of stays, Experiences, and Services, and executing the company’s global strategy. The Global Markets team ensures local relevance and supports growth planning across regions.
Responsibilities
Report directly to the Global Director, Programs and Business Operations and partner with APAC Country Managers and APAC regional leadership to manage business operations and strategy for Asia.
Lead ongoing business performance holistically and align functions behind common objectives; collaborate on cross-border projects.
Define levers to help the Airbnb community succeed on the platform and develop strong relationships to deliver guidance for growth within the Airbnb marketplace.
Shape, influence, and execute high-impact priorities with a focus on events and partnerships; build alignment across senior stakeholders; ensure initiatives ladder up to regional and global goals.
Synthesize data, trends, and guest/host insights into actionable recommendations to develop growth levers for the Asia business.
Work with FP&A to assess performance and deep dive into strengths and weaknesses; manage OKRs and track status for the Asia business.
Define the operating system strategy for a large, distributed organization; ensure alignment with Airbnb-wide initiatives in Asia.
Drive weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business operation meetings; conduct deep dives on operational, program, or functional topics as needed; work with functional leads to set strategy and execute operations.
Collaborate with Global Markets team members and other business lines within the Chief Business Officer group; drive accountability and alignment across cross-functional teams.
Prepare executive-level materials and deliver key presentations to senior leadership; act as a trusted proxy for senior leaders when appropriate.
Identify and incubate high-impact initiatives; drive special projects for the region and foster collaboration across functions.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in consulting, project management in hospitality or online travel (OTA) industries preferred.
Deep familiarity with business, economic, and cultural environments across the Asia-Pacific region.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience working in a matrix environment.
Ability to take initiative, handle ambiguity, and manage complex projects with excellent organizational skills.
Pleasant working with the Airbnb community; data-driven mindset; strategic thinker with passion for new products and solutions.
Data fluency and familiarity with SQL.
