With a strong presence in the academic sector, they are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Education Editor for English subjects to support curriculum development and publishing projects. You'll be responsible for comprehensive editing, meticulous proofreading, and thorough fact-checking, collaborating closely with authors, designers, and marketing teams to deliver engaging and error-free content. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Edit and proofread manuscripts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with house style, specifically for correct and precise science and math content.

  • Collaborate with authors, providing feedback to refine content and align it with scope and target audience.

  • Work with designers to create visually appealing layouts, diagrams, and charts.

  • Manage projects from submission to publication, ensuring deadlines and smooth editorial flow.

  • Monitor project timeline, budget, and resources for efficiency.

  • Conduct market research on trends in science and math publishing.

  • Assist in promoting titles by developing audience-targeted strategies.

  • Perform other assigned editorial tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Education, English or Journalism.

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in editorial work or teaching.

  • Familiar with  the Singapore education system, curriculum standards, and pedagogical approaches.

  • Knowledge of publishing workflows and processes.
