Qualifications JOB SUMMARY The Test Examiner (Proctor) position reports to the Assessment Manager and is accountable for providing support to teachers, administrators, students, and other administrative staff in the mission of Five Keys Schools and Programs. This person will serve as the primary student testing examiner (proctor) and will facilitate scheduling and testing with students, teachers and Principals to ensure that students are being assessed within the state-mandated testing window. We are looking for someone who insists on maintaining a positive attitude and enjoys supporting a diverse group of people. This job is for you if you have a passion for serving TAY youth and their families. This temporary, full-time position is scheduled to run for 6 months. At the expiration, the position will be re-evaluated based on the organization's needs. It supports multiple in-custody and community sites throughout the Five Keys Southern California North Program, in Pitchess Detention Center, Antelope Valley, and North County. The scheduled hours vary between 5:00 am - 5:00 pm; the current schedule is 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Completes information for each student tested, administers the appropriate test, and completes the numerical scoring for parts of the test * Travel to various school sites daily to complete testing according to the timelines provided by state and federal guidelines * Prepare materials for testing. * Completes initial scoring and review procedures with the Assessment Manager * Administer required assessments to 10th - 12th grade students at various school sites. * Comfortable testing one-on-one with students using a laptop and video conferencing to administer tests virtually, as needed * Check student ID and review test instructions, exam timings, and test materials. * Ensure a secure testing environment by monitoring students as they take the exam. * Ensure proper execution of assessment policies and keep up to date with changes as they happen. * Work collaboratively with school staff by completing various test-related tasks needed to ensure exams are administered smoothly. * Reporting all exam discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner and/or communicating with technical support to investigate and fix technical issues * Assist with the data maintenance of Five Keys SIS, TOPSPro database, and team project management system. * Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * Comfortable using computers. * Experience working with customer support. * Proficiency in Zoom, MS Office, Google Workspace, and databases EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE * High School Diploma required * BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience * Spanish fluency preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Must wear provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adhere to all safety guidelines and requirements, when needed * Frequent talking and hearing conversations * Long periods of walking, sitting at a desk and/or computer station * Lifting items that weigh up to 25 lbs.; reaching, bending, carrying and stooping within the daily routine of tasks and activities ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS This position is contingent upon: * Satisfactory results of a Live Scan (criminal background investigation) * Successfully obtaining jail clearance for positions working in county jails or probation locations * Submitting proof of clear TB results.
