Temporary Transcriber

Job Description:We are seeking meticulous and reliable individuals to join our team as Transcribers on a contract-for-service basis. You will be responsible for converting pre-recorded interview audio files into accurate and complete written transcripts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Listen to pre-recorded interviews and transcribe them verbatim using stipulated transcription software, headset, and foot pedal.
  • Ensure high transcription accuracy with a typical turnaround of 1–2 working days per interview.
    • Proofread and review transcripts to:
    • Ensure completeness and accuracy of transcription.
  • Redact any confidential or sensitive information as needed.
  • Respond promptly to queries or clarifications raised by research analysts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information contained within the recordings.

Work Arrangement:Transcription work is typically performed on-site at the research office or study site at Admiralty Medical Centre.

Commitment Requirements:

  • This is a contract-for-service role. You will be contacted when there are interviews available for transcription.
  • Each interview transcription must be completed within three (3) working days, and no later than one week from the interview date.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • GCE A-Level or Diploma/Advanced Diploma
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word)
  • Background knowledge in healthcare is an added advantage
  • Prior transcription experience is helpful but not required
