<p><strong>Role Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Liaise and communicate effectively with enterprise clients to understand their business objectives, technical environments, and automation or disaster recovery (DR) needs.</li><li>Serve as the primary technical point of contact for AS400-related automation and scripting initiatives, ensuring client expectations are clearly understood and met.</li><li>Lead and mentor a technical team in designing and implementing automation strategies across AS400 and Linux platforms.</li><li>Develop, optimize, and maintain CL (Control Language) scripts and AS400 automation routines for job scheduling, backups, DR testing, and system monitoring.</li><li>Design and implement cross-platform automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting, integrating AS400 with Linux-based infrastructure.</li><li>Build and maintain automation frameworks to manage DR replication, recovery testing, system provisioning, and real-time monitoring.</li><li>Oversee the installation, configuration, and optimization of automation toolchains across AS400 and Linux environments.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex system automation, scripting, and recovery-related issues across both legacy and modern platforms.</li><li>Prepare and deliver clear technical documentation, client-facing reports, and user training or knowledge transfer sessions.</li><li>Collaborate closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to ensure enterprise-wide alignment and successful project delivery.</li><li>Stay informed of emerging technologies in automation, DR, and infrastructure modernization to recommend innovative solutions to clients.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Requirement</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.</li><li>At least 5 years of experience in technical leadership involving AS400 systems, automation, and client interaction.</li><li>Strong expertise in AS400 scripting, particularly CL (Control Language), and automation of operational and disaster recovery (DR) tasks.</li><li>Proficient in Shell scripting; Python and Ansible are a plus but not mandatory.</li><li>Good understanding of AS400 system architecture, including job control, journaling, save/restore mechanisms, and HA/DR setups.</li><li>Experience with Linux server administration and cross-platform automation.</li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD, job scheduling, and version control tools such as Git.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Experience in regulated industries (e.g., banking or finance) is a strong advantage.</li><li>Relevant certifications in IBM i, DevOps, or automation tools are preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><em>Beyondsoft International (Singapore) Pte.
