Windows Copilot+ PCs powered by Snapdragon are revolutionizing the PC industry by leading the technology transformation for AI, graphics, multimedia, connectivity, power, and performance. The Senior Software Application Engineer– Windows Copilot+ PC Ecosystem, will have a pre-sales focus and will drive technical adoption of the Windows on Snapdragon Compute platform across the Commercial space.

In this position you will be responsible for helping enterprise customers with Windows on Snapdragon (WoS) compute product commercialization and support enterprise needs for a timely, faster, and smooth product evaluation. You will have the opportunity to show your strong customer support skills by resolving enterprise issues on the WoS platform and the Windows application ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the Execution of Qualcomm’s Worldwide Compute Go-To-Market strategy
  • Supporting Qualcomm’s Commercial Territory Sales and Channel teams through deep technical engagements with IT implementers and assisting with device evaluations, pilots and proof-of-concepts
  • Support enterprise customers with technical guidance on product features & enable quick adoption.
  • Support resolving technical issues with Windows on Snapdragon products around Peripherals, Stability, Multimedia, etc. May require working on site with customers and with technology teams to provide a complete solution and/or resolution to issues in timely manner.
  • Support debugging enterprise application issues and collaborate with platform and technology teams. This includes reproducing the issues and helping with detailed issue triage/analysis/resolution.
  • Analyze and root cause the application issue on customer software/hardware systems.
  • Engage with customers to understand their design requirements, provide training, publish documents.
  • Interact with Subject Matter Experts to ensure the quality and accuracy of new features.
  • Working in cross functional teams to support customer design issues. 
  • Support test development and execution activities on new hardware.

 

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise:

  • Application development, debugging, testing with C/C++ & familiarity with embedded system software.
  • Experience with working and debugging issues in Window 11 environment and tools preferred.
  • Software design/debugging techniques, problem solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with UEFI architecture and development (PEI, DXE, UEFI).
  • Debugging with tools such as WinDbg, JTAG, Trace32,or GDB.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS such as Windows drivers development or Windows debugging, or familiarity with Windows command lines tools such as PowerShell.
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming. Experience on embedded HLOS & networking a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
