Line of Business: Digital Job Description: The Senior Manager, Digital oversees a team of Digital professionals and provide strategic direction for the end to end development, design and implementation of long term/ multi-year Digital business strategy and associated roadmaps based on processes, organization, information and technology enablers, working closely with a specific LOB, business pillar or multiple segments. Depth & Scope: Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required Oversees and lead a large and/or highly complex and/or diverse function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project / initiative success and achieve business results Provides coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertise Manages and oversees the overall discipline and strategy for the respective areas while aligning to the enterprise best practices Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external / internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management / enterprise areas Facilitates key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/ frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.) Sets operational team direction and collaborate with others to execute on common goals Focuses on longer-range planning for functional area (e.g. 12 months or greater) Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required 10+ years relevant experience Customer Accountabilities: Leads a team of Digital Specialists in the development and execution of the long-term strategic plan and associated roadmaps for the capabilities assigned, ensuring they will achieve the target state directly owning the business rationale for each initiative i.e. cost/benefit, strategic alignment, etc. and drive digital market share and profitability objectives Acts as the Digital project lead for assigned capabilities for programs/projects to ensure that outcomes meet the target state vision - both in terms of capabilities and commercial value Demonstrates digital thought leadership to leverage under-utilized Digital assets and identify new/emerging opportunities Interacts, collaborates and helps influence peers and business partners at all levels to ensure alignment to the long-term roadmap and strategic plan of the capabilities assigned Proactively engages user groups and business leaders to ensure that capability solutions are fulfilling on their evolving needs Uses forward thinking and identify impacts of an initiative on all user groups, by determining needs / requirements / priorities and defining options and achieving consensus on approaches, where possible Builds the business case and define the rollout plan in collaboration with other partners Provides strategic leadership and guidance during frequent interactions with the working group and business leads; act as an advocate for the capabilities (for the area of responsibility); uncover collaboration opportunities to accelerate the delivery of roadmap initiatives Works with product teams across the organization to drive digital sales for our online and mobile sites through ongoing management and interpretation of digital KPIs & capabilities Creates standardized reporting, performance marketing resources and tools Manages the ongoing sustainment model for the capabilities owned Manages issues or escalations in relation to the capabilities within the portfolio Shareholder Accountabilities: Ensures that the team adheres to enterprise frameworks or methodologies related to overall Digital activities Leads and ensures the successful execution of the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned key business capabilities including the end to end financial ownership, ongoing optimization (people, process, enablers), ongoing sustainment oversight including user adoption and engagement Designs the target state for the capabilities owned demonstrating how it will achieve strategic business outcomes within the broader organizational context Sets and drives achievement of digital sales and servicing targets, optimizing distribution between assisted channels and Digital Identifies and implements process improvements that reduce costs or create capacity within capabilities assigned Continually enhances capability expertise by staying abreast of industry and competitive drivers and participation in industry committees and/or conferences Keeps abreast on emerging issues, trends and developments and assess potential impacts and/or opportunities Provides input to the prioritization of the project backlog utilizing an objective framework to ensure the appropriate focus of what's being delivered across multiple stakeholders' interests Clearly defines capability success metrics around overall effectiveness for capabilities assigned Develops portfolio dashboard, for capabilities assigned, that could include testimonials and portfolio metrics for reporting to business lines; The report would include successes and challenges and trends frequency of reporting Actively seeks feedback from users and support areas Works closely with key business leaders to develop plans for delivering the next evolution of key capabilities, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leveraging TD’s operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scale Plans and executes on strategic activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordingly Accountable to execute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategies Manages through ambiguity, lead Planning efforts through PI Planning and other Agile efforts.
