About the position

The Senior Demand Planner for Amazon Fresh Grocery will play a crucial role in analytical forecasting and demand planning. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about analytics and process development, and who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Demand Planner will be responsible for managing demand and forecasts, collaborating with various teams to optimize demand plans, and utilizing data to drive scalable systems and processes that support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the demand and forecast for his category and vendors selection across the network
  • Work in partnership with category, marketing, and financial teams to set optimal demand plans to meet topline goals
  • Inspect demand forecasts critically and challenge assumptions from business teams
  • Review historical trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Partner with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process improvements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Excel
  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience working with complex data sets
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership
