Position Purpose

Are you a people-focused Security Officer with a passion for safety and customer service?

Certis is currently seeking professional and motivated individuals to join our team as Perm Part Time Security Officer on the Gold Coast. In this public-facing role, you'll be part of a large, supportive team helping to ensure the security and smooth operation of the local transport network. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a visible and approachable safety presence across rail environments
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and assistance to the public
  • Provide wayfinding and clear directional support
  • De-escalate and manage conflict using a calm, problem-solving approach
  • Support crowd control, access screening, and escorting duties
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence in everything you do
  • Maintain a high level of personal grooming and presentation

Qualification

  • Current QLD Security Licence (Unarmed & Crowd Control)
  • Valid Driver Licence
  • First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Ability to obtain a Rail Category 3 Medical Clearance (Included Drug and Alcohol testing)
  • 24/7 availability for rotating shifts (primarily weekends)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A team-first attitude and a proactive mindset
