We are hiring a Regional Marketing Manager who dares to Invent and Simplify and Think big! He/She will be responsible for building regional marketing infrastructure from scratch in a start-up like environment for Amazon Advertising in Asia. The role requires native or fluent Korean language skills.

At Amazon we continually look for opportunities to invent on behalf of our customers, helping them to find and discover virtually anything they want to buy online. To this end we are building a range of advertising products that enhance the customer experience and are integrated with our core eCommerce platform. We have developed products that leverage Amazon's strength as a world class eCommerce platform and have integrated advertising into the shopping experience from first discovery to purchase.

A strategic part of our charter is to build a portfolio of self-service advertising products to enable both large and small advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. Our growing team in Asia drives awareness, activation and engagement for Asia-based sellers advertising in the rest of the world, including North America, Europe and Japan. More and more Asia sellers are looking to build their brands globally via Amazon's brand-building ad products (e.g., Sponsored Brand, Stores).

Seeing the potential, we are now seeking a Regional Marketing Manager to join our team to build regional marketing infrastructure, and create multi-channel campaigns/strategies especially on the digital marketing front to drive the awareness and adoption of Amazon's brand-building ad products.

This role will be responsible for the strategy and implementation of marketing content development, training and partnership. This role will work at both the strategic level and the executional level to create impact for our customers. He/She will lead the development of one of the most strategic markets - Korea, and expand to new markets as we see fit.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build regional marketing infrastructure, including but not limited to marketing content development, training and partnership programs.
  • Set up working models with internal teams to collaborate on marketing reach-out to Amazon sellers
  • Own marketing budget and multi-channel campaigns from end to end - manage the set-up of one-time and automated campaigns including creating and editing templates, manage targeting and segmentation, scheduling, editing, and deployment to drive program adoption at scale
  • Manage monthly digital marketing calendar to document and schedule all communications
  • Optimize against key metrics including CTR, open rates, and advertisers registered
  • Manage a continuous, meticulously planned and documented testing plan to continually improve performance of the channels
  • Track digital communication best practices in the region, monitor industry trends, and make recommendations

Basic qualifications

  • At least 5 years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Korean language proficiency is a must as this role requires Korean language capabilities to drive the market and nuanced marketing materials requiring Korean proficiency

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote
  • Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
  • Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
  • Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
  • Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
