As the Quality Assurance Test Analyst, you will be responsible for the quality testing and validation of a large Data Lake using AWS Redshift and Databricks. You will be the lead analyst working with a remote team located across the US.

This is a remote position, but you will need to pick up your computer equipment in person within the first month of hire to verify identity. Locations are available throughout the US. There are no exceptions.

Responsibilities
  • Document requirements, test plans, tests, and traceability matrices following ISO13485 compliant processes
  • Collaborate with software developers in unit, regression, and load testing
  • Hands-on execution of test plans and scripts to test and validate application functionality for accuracy, consistency, and integrity
  • Collaborate with data analysts in user acceptance testing to ensure the system meets business needs
  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
  • Analyze formal test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
  • Works with the development team and data analysts to assist with data requests, troubleshoot queries, and optimize their processes
  • Develop and implement data quality standards and processes
  • Monitor and update data dictionaries and metadata to ensure data consistency
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Continually learn and improve your skills
Requirements/Experience
  • 4-year college degree in an engineering or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience as a software analyst/tester on a data warehouse/lake project in pharma or medical devices
  • Strong technical skills, proven ability to navigate/understand/use AWS cloud, including RedShift and DataBricks
  • Advanced SQL scripting skills and strong database knowledge, including experience with ETL workflows
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance, test strategies, and test execution
  • Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent PC skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and can communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks while working on multiple projects concurrently
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage your time and get stuff done
  • Ability to go with the flow and understand that change is a constant
