Job Description

  • Build prototypes or experimental solutions to test integration paths and emerging technologies
  • Forecast effort, flag uncertainties, and recommend contingency plans to ensure smooth delivery
  • Clarify system scope and define clear interaction points across components like robotic controllers, sensors, servers, and user interfaces
  • Outline both functional and technical boundaries, including data formats and integration protocols
  • Anticipate interdependencies, edge cases, and technical risks during early-stage design
  • Uncover usability issues and feature gaps with help of available resources
  • Translate user feedback into wireframes, prototypes, and end-to-end experience flows
  • Break down features into actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
  • Help the team stay on track by addressing blockers and ensuring alignment on sprint goals

The Successful Applicant

A successful Product Application Engineer should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, technology, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a product-focused engineering role (e.g., software, robotics)
  • Practical experience in product testing or application engineering within the tech industry
  • Hands-on expertise with robot arm programming and industrial automation systems
  • Demonstrated ability to define and document system boundaries and interface specifications
  • Solid understanding of user research methodologies and UX design principles
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Confident in estimating development effort and evaluating technical trade-offs
