Our financial services client is seeking an experienced professional to support a major transformation program within Investment Operations. This role will focus on driving future-state processes and workflows, strengthening controls, and enhancing integration with third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Investment Operations Services Lead in shaping and implementing the future operating model.
  • Review and refine the scope and role of Investment Operations in line with the future-state vision.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define and implement effective controls that strengthen end-to-end processes, including outsourced vendor integrations.
  • Conduct impact assessments to analyze current (as-is) processes and design future processes, systems, and structures.
  • Identify key risk areas, recommend mitigations, and propose new controls for robust operational processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and service providers, ensuring alignment and formal sign-off of requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with custodians, service providers, and counterparties to define and document optimal solutions.
  • Contribute to project management activities, including reporting, risk/issue tracking, and governance processes.
  • Support change management initiatives by providing content and context for effective stakeholder communication.

Candidate Attributes

  • Deep understanding of the asset management industry, its business models, and terminology.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to interact confidently with portfolio managers, dealers, and operations staff.
  • Detail-oriented with strong coordination and project management skills.
  • Risk-aware, with a controls-driven mindset and proven ability to design effective risk mitigations.
  • Mature, collaborative, and able to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the asset management industry with significant exposure to operations.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience leading change initiatives and implementations.
  • Strong knowledge across multiple asset classes (derivatives, fixed income, equity markets) and their associated analytics.
  • Solid understanding of Middle Office and Back Office outsourcing arrangements.
  • Experience with BlackRock Aladdin is advantageous.
