The Community You Will Join:

The Supply – Stays team plays a key role in shaping these stays. As a multidisciplinary team, we partner with Hosts to conceptualize and develop high-quality, repeatable, and commercially viable offerings that align with our brand values.

Airbnb is seeking a Market Associate, with a primary focus on Indonesia to support and grow our network of Hosts and Partners. This role will be part of the Supply – Stays team and report to the Senior Manager, Field Operations. The role is based in Singapore.

The Difference You Will Make:

As a Market Associate, you will be responsible for the retention and growth of mid to long-tail Hosts in assigned cities in Indonesia. You will establish and nurture business relationships with emerging professional host accounts by suggesting and supporting strategic initiatives that drive their success on Airbnb. These initiatives will include supply optimization, pricing optimization, host recruitment, and platform education. In addition, as these Hosts successfully grow on the platform, it will be imperative that you help them maintain best-in-class hospitality standards for an excellent guest experience. Beyond one-to-one account management responsibilities, you'll also support (Senior) Market Managers on your team to deliver one-to-many education programs, such as webinars and scaled e-mail communication. Ultimately, this team will be responsible for helping long-tail Hosts thrive on Airbnb.

A Typical Day:

  • Build and manage partner relationships with emerging professional host accounts within assigned cities. We are looking for someone that is goals-oriented, is inputs-driven, and is willing to take action.
  • Hold regular optimization calls and business reviews with your partners.
  • Educate clients on all significant product changes and cascade feedback on product and policy to the relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Develop strong and long lasting partnerships.
  • Respond to and deliver exceptional service to your professional hosts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Analyze data and utilize data-driven recommendations to identify and action on opportunities in your region to drive increase in sales.
  • Maintain a baseline understanding of the technical integration of various software.

Your Expertise:

  • 3+ years of experience in new sales, account management and partner support.
  • 2+ years of hospitality/travel industry experience (nice to have).
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proven track record of being able to effectively work a book of business (account management).
  • A strong bias for action, and persistent in the face of adversity and objection.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Team player: highly motivated to share best practices and knowledge to help peers succeed.
  • Proficient quantitative skills and proven ability to interpret and apply data throughout your day-to-day work.
  • The ability to get things done with constantly changing priorities, projects and deadlines.
  • Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy - being an Airbnb host is a plus.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, with a proven track record to execute in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Highly proficient in using CRM software, specifically in working with leads, opportunities and other core objects - Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual fluency in both written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa-Indonesia is required as this role will interface with clients whose usual business language is Bahasa-Indonesia and English.
