Manager, Project Management: Brand Design & Packaging - (Hybrid, WA)

NOTE:  This position is located at Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week.

Nordstrom Product Group (NPG) is Nordstrom’s private label division, comprising a portfolio of brands exclusively designed and developed for Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, both in-store and online. The Manager, Project Manager serves as a key member of the Brand Design & Packaging Team, independently leading the development and execution of all packaging initiatives across NPG. This role includes managing the Project Management team, overseeing inventory programs, negotiating costs, and directing the procurement of packaging materials. Key collaborators include the Packaging Graphic Design and Production Team, NPG Merchandising, Product Development and Design Teams, Copywriters, Nordstrom Creative Teams, and a network of domestic and international third-party suppliers.

A day in the life…

  • Lead Packaging Strategy & Execution: Own the end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of packaging programs across all Nordstrom Product Group categories, ensuring alignment with brand standards, merchandising plans, and financial goals.
  • Drive Roadmap & Team Management: Develop and manage a 2-year packaging roadmap, allocate work across project managers and vendors, and guide graphic designers to meet timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to forecast needs and align production timelines, while building strong vendor relationships to negotiate pricing, secure terms, and ensure quality, cost-effective solutions.
  • Creative & Operational Leadership: Lead packaging photo shoots and visual asset creation, manage inventory levels to balance MOQ compliance and minimize excess, and communicate complex updates to stakeholders.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Champion process improvements, material innovations, and sustainability practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support corporate responsibility goals.
  • Reporting & Talent Development: Deliver annual packaging performance reports with actionable insights, and identify and nurture talent through targeted development and leadership opportunities.

You own this if you have… 

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management or product development 
  • Expertise in managing creative projects, retail packaging, print production or label development  
  • A passion for brand development and articulating a clear brand story to customers 
  • PMP preferred 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites, FlexPLM (or equivalent product development system) and MS Office Suite; expertise in Excel preferred

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$103,500.00 - $175,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
