Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The value you’ll bring to the team: • Discusses patient diagnosis with physicians • Assist in simulation process, including collection of pertinent data required for treatment planning • Acquisition of patient data via computer generated data sets from medical imaging devices such as CT, PET, MR and incorporation of this data into radiation treatment plans, calculations, and treatment devices. • Accurately and proficiently performs dosimetric calculations for external beam, IMRT, brachytherapy treatment plans according to the Radiation Oncologist (RO) written directive/orders. • Contouring and delineating of clearly discernable normal critical structures using different imaging modalities such as CT, PET, and MR. • Registration and fusion (including image deformation) of multi-modality image sets. • Reviews with the RO the completeness of target and organ(s) at risk (OAR) delineation prior to treatment planning. • Evaluation for accuracy of information generated from radiation treatment plans such as isodose distribution, dose volume histograms (DVH) and other data in establishing the appropriateness of the treatment plan. • May assist Radiation Oncologist in performing HDR and brachytherapy procedures as directed • May prepare and review patient in-vivo dosimetry • Accurately performs billing for dosimetry procedures • Prepares patient treatment planning related data in either hard copy or CD format as requested from authorization for release of protected health information • Assists and prepares for weekly physician chart rounds • May provide supervised education experiences for students that fulfill curriculum requirements of the academic institution • Participates in clinical based research as part of a broader clinical team to include support for clinical trials. • Performs other duties as assigned !*!
