Overview:

The Weekend Option for Computed Tomography Technologists is in charge of delivering superior patient care while performing CT procedures using standardized protocols and workflows. This position utilizes advanced x-ray machines to capture detailed images of the human body, helping radiologists diagnose various medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

Utilizes X-ray scanners to generate CAT scans, which create a digital cross-sectional image of the head or body.

This medical professional conducts both routine and specialized CT scans while following standardized protocols that aim to reduce the need for further imaging and minimize radiation exposure. They also strive to maintain exam productivity at a level that meets established benchmarks.

Successfully completing the Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) exams and documentation, I ensure that all charges associated with studies are identified accurately and errors addressed to improve workflow efficiency.

Improves patient comprehension and cooperation of medical tests by providing education and preparation before their examinations, resulting in a more favorable patient experience.

Shows a strong dedication towards implementing safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate mistakes and advance patient well-being.

Executes additional responsibilities as directed.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED

ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT)

NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT)

Combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT)

Combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT)

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
