Clinical Informaticist, Remote

As a Clinical Informaticist on the product team, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with engineers, product managers and clinicians to build and operate Aledade’s clinical data integration platform. This platform is used to source and curate clinical chart data for patients, enabling the organization to enhance population health initiatives and ensure accurate, timely quality measure reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of clinical workflows, data management, and health informatics; bringing a blend of technical acumen and clinical expertise to bridge the gap between clinical practice and technology.

We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or be based from Bethesda, MD office.

Primary Duties

    • Serve as a key stakeholder in a cross-functional team, focused on enhancing the overall quality of clinical data within Aledade’s technology ecosystem.
    • Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to data entry, interfaces, and processing, while evaluating and escalating clinical data discrepancies across new and established clinical interfaces.
    • Support quality measurement activities and quality improvement programs by leveraging clinical data.  To include  mapping clinical data items to standardized code systems, facilitating consistent and meaningful use of data across Aledade’s analytics tools and applications and  ensuring precise data submissions and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Medical/Health Informatics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
    • Over 5 years of relevant experience in clinical informatics or healthcare technology
    • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing clinical data
    • Solid understanding and experience with standard Health Information Technology (HIT) vocabularies and terminologies
    • Hands-on experience with one or more ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
    • Familiarity with quality measure specifications and reporting processes in a healthcare setting

Preferred KSA's

    • Proficiency in data integration and healthcare interoperability standards like HL7, FHIR, or CDA
    • Experience working with cloud-based platforms and tools such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data management
    • Knowledge of healthcare data governance and best practices in maintaining data integrity and security
    • Understanding of population health management and the data infrastructure that supports it
    • Certification in clinical informatics or health information management (e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS) is advantageous
    • Experience in applying machine learning or AI technologies within healthcare settings
