Job Overview

AlphaMD, a leading men's health telemedicine company specializing in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and men's wellness, is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our remote customer service team.

This is a contract position serving patients across the United States.Compensation: $30/hourEmployment Type: Contract (1099)Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shifts during standard business hours (must be available during mainland U.S. business hours)

Position Summary

This role combines clinical knowledge with customer service excellence. You will serve as a critical link between our patients, medical providers, and pharmacy partners. The ideal candidate has extensive telemedicine experience, deep understanding of men's health and TRT protocols, and the technical aptitude to navigate multiple software platforms efficiently.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Must meet ALL to be considered)

Certification & Experience

  • ✅ Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) - REQUIRED
  • ✅ Minimum 5 years of telemedicine experience - REQUIRED (candidates with less experience will not be considered)
  • ✅ Experience with men's health and/or testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) - REQUIRED
  • ✅ Previous experience placing pharmacy orders - REQUIRED

Availability & Location

  • ✅ Must work standard 8-hour shifts during U.S. business hours (9 AM - 6 PM in any mainland U.S. timezone)
  • ✅ Must be located in the mainland United States
  • ✅ Must be available to start work within 2-4 weeks of offer

Technical Requirements

  • ✅ Proficient with Zendesk (ticketing/customer service platform)
  • ✅ Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
  • ✅ Proficient with Slack (team communication)
  • ✅ Strong general computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
  • ✅ Own computer/laptop meeting professional standards (required)
  • ✅ Reliable high-speed internet connection

Core ResponsibilitiesPatient Support & Customer Service

  • Respond to patient inquiries via Zendesk, email, and phone regarding treatment plans, medications, and account issues
  • Provide knowledgeable guidance on men's health topics, TRT protocols, dosing schedules, and medication administration
  • Manage patient subscriptions, billing issues, and payment processing
  • Deliver exceptional customer service that reflects AlphaMD's commitment to patient care

Pharmacy Coordination

  • Place and manage pharmacy orders for patient prescriptions
  • Track order status and coordinate with pharmacy partners to resolve issues
  • Ensure accurate medication fulfillment and timely delivery

Administrative & Technical Tasks

  • Document all patient interactions accurately in our systems
  • Manage patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Collaborate with medical providers on patient care coordination
  • Work with technical support team to identify and communicate customer experience improvements
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Previous experience in men's health clinics or hormone therapy practices
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with subscription-based healthcare models
  • Background in direct-to-consumer telemedicine

Compensation & Benefits
