What the role is:

As HR Business Partner, you will work closely with heads of divisions and heads of departments to understand their business needs, develop and implement employee recruitment and retention strategies to support the attainment of business goals. This role will require you to work closely with internal stakeholders (rest of HR teams and STB line units) and external partners (e.g. LinkedIn, other public sector agencies). You will have the opportunity to interact with internal customers based in Singapore HQ and regional offices around the globe.


What you will be working on:

The job scope includes, but is not limited to the following:

HR Business Partner Function. Anticipate and provide HR consultation to line units in addressing employee and organisational needs, which include manpower planning, recruitment, performance management, compensation, benefits, career development and staff management issues. Partner Regional Offices to ensure in-market HR governance. Undertake HR policy reviews and deliver HR initiatives to drive corporate objectives as and when assigned. 

HR Operations. Ensure synergy between implementation of HR processes and HR policies. Deliver administration support for our HR information system (i.e. Workday). Facilitate start-to-end employee lifecycle changes, such as inflow, outflow, deployments and other staff movements, including liaising with line units and within HR team when necessary.


What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience

  • Good understanding of employment laws and public service staff guidelines would be advantageous

  • Strong analytical skills and able to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Strong communications skills, including good written skills

  • Strong team player and good stakeholder management skills; able to build trust and credibility with key stakeholders

  • An enthusiastic and driven self-starter, and able to think innovatively to improve current states

  • Have an interest/passion in HR and able to adapt market trends for STB

  • Showing good business acumen, analytical thinking and judgement     

  • Working effectively within STB to achieve results

  • Working effectively with stakeholders outside STB

  • Serving with heart, commitment and purpose

  • Being innovative and learning continuously
