Lightspeed Tech Center is a R&D department under Lightspeed Studios which develop PUBG Mobile and other high-quality games. Our Tech Center leads the research, exploration, and discovery of innovative technologies and provides technical services for all games during all phases of life cycle, including engine, audio, QA, AI, next generation game, technical cooperation, etc. What the Role Entails
  • Support the development of 3D model, scene, and avatar generative AI systems, gaining hands-on experience in advanced geometry, texturing, character modeling, and scene construction techniques.
  • Contribute to project discussions, offering innovative ideas for improving model, scene, and avatar generation.
  • Collaborate closely with senior specialists to ensure high-quality integration of 3D models, scenes, and avatars into game environments.
  • Participate in research and development tasks to explore new frontiers in 3D modeling, character/avatar generation, and immersive scene construction.
  • Assist in developing pipelines for full avatar creation, including face modeling, motion capture, and rigging/animation for interactive experiences.
Who We Look For
  • Enrolled as a PhD student in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Mathematics, Game Design, Digital Arts, or related fields.
  • Basic understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, character modeling, and scene construction.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a strong inclination for collaborative project engagement.

Preferred:

  • Strong research ability with publications in top computer vision and graphics conferences and journals (such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, NeurIPS, ICML, PAMI, IJCV, TOG, TVCG, etc.).
  •  Experience with any 3D modeling, character/avatar creation, or scene construction software.
  • Prior work in avatar generation, motion capture, facial modeling, or rigging/skinning.
  • Demonstrated passion for game development and digital arts.
  • Creative and open-minded approach to innovative and experimental projects.
  • Candidates who can intern for more than 6 months.
